This morning I wish you freedom and life. May your day reveal the sweet surprise of unfettered kindness as you walk in love with all you meet.

“Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me now.” ~ 1 Corinthians 13: 12

I cannot help but contemplate the work of God’s hands, while writing Lumen, the second book in my Eden’s Gate series. Psalm 19:1 comes to mind and lingers… “The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.” ~ Psalm 19:1

This is the good news… Christ died once and for ALL because of his great love. “It is finished!”

Proverbs 27:9

I am thankful for all of my wonderful friends. They are genuine, honest, intelligent, and gracious… Sweet incense indeed!

You are Beloved You are loved You are a flower among thorns A precious blossom Cradled in the hands of a God who cares. ~ Janna Vanderveen

Several summer’s ago,  my husband and two lifejacket-clad sons swam to a tiny island off the shore of Lake Huron. They stood on a branch which jutted out the water and soaked in the view while I snapped their photo. It was stunning. Well…OK, maybe their view didn’t look quite like this. I may have gone a little photo-editing crazy. I love to take the ordinary and turn it into the extraordinary. Happy Sunday!

John 4:14

This weekend Bruce and I took a scenic drive around Niagara Falls. It was dusk, fog obscured the setting sun, clouds of mist spiraled out of the depths of falling water, and rain drizzled from the sky upon the multitudes of people who refused to be deterred from viewing this magnificent force of nature. I stood in awe of the One who created it all and this verse came to mind…

My mission is to discern, awaken, and inspire truth in myself and others.  “May my tongue be the pen of a skillful writer, my pen be the tongue of a masterful orator, and my words be apples of gold in settings of silver.” ~ Janna Vanderveen
